Eileen Gray’s lacquer panels from the 1920s, defined by their balance of light and shadow, inspired the creation of our black mesh woven from cotton.
Eileen Gray’s work reveals an instinctive understanding of proportion and restraint. Her lacquer screens, composed of alternating planes, invite light to move through space with precision. The creation of our black mesh began from this same sense of balance. Woven from cotton, the fabric explores the tension between structure and softness, opacity and transparency. Its open construction recalls the rhythm of Gray’s panels, where air and material coexist in harmony.
